About Us

Battlefords Residential Services Inc. (BRSI) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to providing residential and support services for adults with intellectual disabilities. Guided by our mission - “Building rewarding lives for people with exceptionalities” - we operate with compassion, accountability, and innovation to make a lasting impact in our community. BRSI operates six group homes serving 35 individuals, Supported Living Programs for up to 15 individuals, and a community-based day program for 12 participants.

About the Role

BRSI is currently inviting applications for Direct Support Worker positions across our programs. These essential frontline roles support individuals in achieving their personal goals, developing independence, and living meaningful lives within our community.

We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and casual positions with shift work that may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on a rotating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and community inclusion.

  • Implement and monitor individualized program plans and behavioral supports.

  • Encourage skill development and social interaction using communication tools and adaptive strategies.

  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful home environment.

  • Administer medications and follow care protocols as trained.

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication logs.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals with:

  • Training or experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, Autism, or complex needs.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

  • Current First Aid/CPR (training can be provided).

Requirements

  • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license.

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sectors check

  • Evening and weekend work as required
